Thank you so much....

Thank you all so much for your sweet comments! Kaz and I are so excited! It’s been a long road….We’ve prayed and thought about this for a long time, and really feel the Lord calling us to adopt! There have been so many amazing blessings that the Lord has confirmed along the way….Yesterday, we had our first meeting with Bethany Christian Services. Our next meeting is April 16th, and then the home study will begin! We will be adopting a newborn domestically!

For a long time, I never even thought about this option…and to be honest with you I didn’t want to adopt but over time the Lord has completely changed my heart AND FOR ONCE I don’t desire to be pregnant. I’m truly so excited about this journey and can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store. Over time, I’ll tell you more of this process and some of the amazing ways the Lord has confirmed this step!

Thanks again for all your support and prayers:)

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and NOT to harm you….

Amy, I am SO excited. And, the scripture you posted on your blog is the exact scripture our daughter-in-law claimed as they went through infertility and then decided to adopt. AND, then God blessed them with two more daughters biologically. She made a book for each of the girls--"You Grew in My Tummy" and "You Grew in My Heart." I cried when I tried to read them. I can't wait to follow your journey and thanks for stopping by my blog and always leaving a comment.

Jeremiah 29:11 is my favorite verse in the entire Bible. It's so amazing how things work out and the timing is always meant to be.

I am so sorry, I just realized I wasn't following you in the little "following box" and totally assumed I had.

I cannot wait to see what God has in store for your beautiful family!

Your pictures are just too cute, what a great idea! I'm so excited for you two. My husbands cousins have adopted domestically (within their own state, actually) and have three beautiful babies now. May the Lord bless this new endeavor!

It is SO awesome when you've been praying SO HARD for something and then all of a sudden...that peace that passes ALL understanding consumes you.

Blessed be His name!

i already said congrats. but congrats again. i'm truly excited to follow your story!! 'my story' is way different than yours but i know how it feels to have that desire to want to be pregnant, and read 'not pregnant' time after time. and i know it can ONLY be god to take that feeling away. how incredible. i seriously could bawl right now!! i love that scripture in jeremiah. SO fitting to SO many things!!

God has taken my desire to be pregnant, too. What a joy (I mean, when you go through infertility). Sometimes it rears up again, but I go straight to God with it and He fills me every single time!

So happy for you! Don't know you, but know the journey you are about to embark on. It's an amazing one that won't be anything like you expect, but will far exceed what you anticipated for your life. And the love for this child???? Forget about it. It's gonna be huge!! :-) Hugs from Missouri! So happy for your "paper" pregnancy. Cuz, guess what? You're expecting!

"I dont desire to be pregnant"... that just shows how God can work on a person & a heart... a true testimony!
