Photographer, Accountant, Wife, and mother to a dog....

First, if you haven't entered the fabulous pearl necklace giveaway that I’m doing, please go here to enter!

Today on Kelly's Korner, Show Us Your Life...it's "What is Your Typical Day Like"...

Well, my days are not your typical day for a girl who has no children….I’m a full time accountant, full time photographer, wife, and mother to a Chesapeake Bay Retriever! A typical day looks like this!

530-615am    Kaz TRIES to wake me up. My response…“Kaz, can I have just 5 more minutes?” :)
630-645        get ready, leave for my accounting position at Seacoast Church
730-4pm       My brain is filled with thoughts of numbers for WAY to long….
4-430pm       Drive to gym
430-530 pm  Run….Hopefully:)

Afternoons are tricky:
Every day, I spend at least 30 minutes responding to photography emails….Some days I have photo sessions….Some days I have to edit pictures….AND some days[These are usually my favorite days] I can go home, be lazy, watch TV, spend time with Kaz and just relax!

My schedule is so crazy….I have to balance A LOT! Weekends are always filled with photography especially coming up…Between April-July I have 27 weddings….It’s crazy! My life right now is crazy busy! BUT I wouldn’t change it for anything…The Lord continues to bless me daily and has given me a passion and talent I never knew I had!

Thank you Lord[even though things are crazy busy]for your continued blessings in my life!

What does your typical day look like?

I just checked out your photography site and wow...you do amazing work! I LOVE photography, but unfortunately God did not give me the talent to do what you do!
You are one busy lady! Sounds like a mighty good busy, though.
Blessings,
Kelli

I usually get the kids up and out between 7-8:30, then drive to the gym, then paint, then clean the house, then do homework, make dinner, clean the house, bathtime, tucking in, lay in a coma in front of the TV, go to bed and do exactly the same thing the next day. The life of a stay at home mom is like Groundhog day!

What a great post! I'm the same way in the morning except mine is..."call me back in 10 minutes". Ha! I say that sometimes more than once too.

Wow, one busy, sweet lady! I'm off to check out your photography. I'm not sure if I have before...but I'm off now! Have a great weekend! ;o)

What a great release the photography must be to looking at numbers all day! I SO want to get into photography more, but then there's that 'time' thing. So annoying. ;-)

Have a great weekend! Btw, LOVE the new look!

oh geez, youngest kids drag me out of bed by 7:25. Get them ready and on the bus by 8:45. Depending on the day you will find me running errands, crafting, volunteering at a school or bloggin/bloghopping until 2:25 whenthe older two get home. By the time everyone is home - I either A. cook supper and start running showers or am running around to various GS meetings, play practice drop off and pick ups etc. The typical mom day. Nothing exciting.

Before I had kids ... my life was busy.

When I had 5 kids in 4 years ... my life was busy.

When I had 10 kids living at home ... my life was busy.

Now that I am down to "only" 6 kids at home ... my life is busy.

Life is busy ... but life is also what we make of it. I don't believe that busyness is necessarily a bad thing, as long as we aren't crowding out the Lord in our busyness.

My life in this season is filled with ...

... caring for my 6 children at home.
... caring for my husband.
... homeschooling my children.
... ministering with my husband.
... caring for my 6 adult children.
... and, of course, chatting with my Bloggy Friends.

Look forward to checking out your photo blog. My eldest daughter is a professional photographer in Oregon.

Blessings,

Laurel :)
