Mark 9:22-24
22 “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”23 “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.”24 Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

My prayers are usually like the man above...I pray timidly...with the mindset that “if He can, He will.” I’ve never really realized this until recently...Towards the end of March, I felt the Lord calling Kaz and I to pray a really bold prayer. A prayer that seems crazy to most...some have said it would be a miracle...others tried guarding my heart...BUT Kaz and I felt called to pray this prayer everyday starting April 1st..that’s when we made the commitment. I have been so humbled over the last 11 days while praying this prayer....I’ve cried..I’ve prayed timidly some days...I’ve prayed boldly some days...I’ve prayed on my knees....I’ve prayed in my heart and mind...I’ve prayed a lot. Some days my outlook is good...other days, it’s not so great. What changes? I look at what I can see.....What I can see is a crazy schedule, a house destroyed by renovations, chaos in busyness, unbelief, reality, etc....
A passage that I have been reading lately...Psalm 104.
5 He set the earth on its foundations;
it can never be moved.
it can never be moved.
6 You covered it with the deep as with a garment;
the waters stood above the mountains.
7 But at your rebuke the waters fled,
at the sound of your thunder they took to flight;
8 they flowed over the mountains,
they went down into the valleys,
to the place you assigned for them.
9 You set a boundary they cannot cross;
never again will they cover the earth.
I KNOW AND BELIEVE that God CAN ANSWER THIS PRAYER...HE CAN BRING A MIRACLE....It’s a matter of “if” He chooses too. If He chooses not too, I will still have HOPE and I will still have FAITH...BUT I’m following His leading..He called us to this...
What is this prayer? That we would have our baby in our arms by Easter....Will you join me?

Amy, something HUGE Patrick and I have learned in the last year is this...pray then believe. Believeing and giveing thanks even before it has happened is HUGE trust an faith in God. You pray it and then you believe it..... by thanking Him after that. We learned this a while ago and it was very different for me at first. I share your heart with he Lord and I pray your will be done. Then I believe in stead of keep asking for it. We ask then have faith. For example, with the rain that was suppose to come on Sat. Patrick and I prayed together that it would not come etc. Then after our prayer we did not keep praying over and over for it we just thanked Him each day, choosing to beleive HE would bless us. We thanked Him daily for blessing us on Sat. for sparing the rain etc. We chose to believe even before it happend, so we acted ont he belief by giving thanks and praising Him! We did this before, before we had decided to adopt we were believeing to get preggo. Yet, while believing we still had to listen for God's voice. In it He told us not now. That was hard but it was His will. After a lot of prayer we both felt He was not daying never but that was not His will for us right them.
We still believe and give thanks daily for both of our children! We are praying, discerning God's will, and believing with ya'll!! :) Love ya'll!
