prikazsky dynasty...

One of our favorite shows to watch is Duck Dynasty. I love everything about it, including all the camo! Over Christmas, Maggie, Annie Rice and Kaz all got camo for Christmas, so of course I wanted to take a few pictures! I just borrowed some of dad's camo. The girls looked so cute in there shirts...Annie Rice liked her's so much she wore it for a good 3 days! We didn't go anywhere so it was okay:) Every Christmas, dad and I make marshmallow treats..This year, I passed the torch off to Annie Rice. She enjoyed it so much! Below are a few of our family camo pictures and Annie Rice and my dad making our famous marshmallow treats!

a trip home...

On Sunday I went home to my parents house for a couple hours. It was a very short trip! While I was there I got to see my 2 cousins Ethan and Alan! They are both getting ready to add baby sisters to their family in April. When they saw me, they both shot me...[I guess they were playing guns:)]

And of course, my favorite, Mr. Billy! He started crying when me and mom walked in. He is the sweetest man! He asked about Leroy[my goat] as always. Mom said don't you remember he passed away. Mr. Billy started crying even more. He said there is such a thing as goat heaven! He does melt my heart!
AND this is his roommate:) He loves seeing us too:)
On the trip back, I got a text from Kaz with this picture. It said, Miley was so happy you are coming home she jumped on the counter! Yes, thats my counter beside the sink! She has not jumped up there again BUT IF SHE DOES she will get a scolding:)

he melts my heart...

I LOVE country music! Kaz always laughs at me because my favorite thing to do in the car is crank the radio up and sing the whole time! His idea when we get in the car is to talk, mine is sing! Ha! I, like most people, relate songs to life experiences...lately, this one song makes me smile every time I hear it! "Are you gonna kiss me or not" by Thompson square[click on the name for the video]. Our story of dating is VERY sweet BUT also very funny! I was Kaz's first girlfriend:) He was so sweet BUT it took him forever to hold my hand or kiss me! It really was sweet, don't get me wrong. It took him 3 months to hold my hand, and 6 months before he kissed me! I knew he wanted to but he was so nervous! After our first kiss, Kaz said, "That was good...I'm gonna have to do that more often"! Awww, he melts my heart! This song reminds me of when we were dating because this is exactly what I wanted to say to him!
It makes me smile everytime I hear it....and by the way-I wouldn't change one thing about our story! Kaz was and is the perfect gentleman!

"Are you gonna kiss me or not?"

We were sittin’ up there on your momma’s roof
Talkin’ bout everything under the moon
With the smell of honeysuckle and your perfume
All I could think about was my next move
Oh, but you were so shy and so was I
Maybe that’s why it was so hard to believe
When you smiled and said to me…

Are you gonna kiss me or not
Are we gonna do this or what
I think you know I like you a lot
But you’re ‘bout to miss your shot
Are you gonna kiss me or not

It was the best dang kiss that I’d ever had
Except for that long one after that
And I knew if I wanted this thing to last
Sooner or later I’d have to ask
For your hand
So I took a chance
Bought a wedding band
And I got down on one knee
And you smiled and said to me

Are you gonna kiss me or not
Are we gonna do this or what
I think you know I love you a lot
I think we’ve got a real good shot
Are you gonna kiss me or not

So, we planned it all out for the middle of June
From the wedding cake to the honeymoon
And your momma cried when you walked down the aisle
When the preacher man said say I Do
I did, and you did, too
Then I lifted that veil and saw your pretty smile
And I said…

Are you gonna kiss me or not
Are we gonna do this or what
Look at all the love that we’ve got
And it ain’t never gonna stop
Are you gonna kiss me or not

Yeah baby I love you a lot
I really think we’ve got a shot
Are you gonna kiss me or not

goodbye Leroy...

Years ago, I had the crazy idea that I wanted pet goats! AND I wanted them really bad! miniature ones...:)
Mom and dad agreed and we went one Friday night to a livestock auction and bid on 2 little miniature goats! I named them Billy & Giant[Kaz came up with that name!]
I LOVED them! Billy would let you hold him, pet him..whatever you wanted to do!
Giant on the other hand wouldn't come near you!
I can still remember the day they got fixed! I went inside because I couldn't bear to watch. BUT poor little things squealed so loud I could hear them inside:(
Giant didn't last very long....SO we got another goat. A bigger one! I named him Leroy.
What better names for goats than Billy & Leroy!
Over time we came to realize that Billy wasn't a miniature goat...He WAS HUGE!
Leroy and Billy were best buds! Everybody in Patrick knew about our goats![My parents live on a main road and you can see the goat pin from the road....]
Billy died awhile back and this past weekend Leroy passed away. We knew it was only a matter of time. They were great goats and we had a lot of fun with them! I'm thankful my parents went along with my crazy idea to get them in the first place! Kaz and I had our pictures taken back in October in the country and I really wanted to take some in the goat pin because I didn't know how much longer Leroy would be around and thought it would be a neat memory! I'm so glad I did now no matter HOW CRAZY they look:)
Mr. Billy always ask me about Leroy every time I see him!
Billy & Leroy were famous in our small town:)
Goodbye Leroy!

[Leroy to the left, Billy to the right]
Me and Billy the day I got him
I know this is CRAZY BUT I begged my parents to buy leashes so we could walk them one Christmas[2006]! I have no idea what I was thinking! Who takes goats on a walk? Ha
 Leroy in October
My mom fed him saltine crackers every day!

 The whole gang!
Last picture...the day after Christmas in the snow!

You're probably thinking," She sure is crazy"! Yes I am BUT that's okay:)

a little country music....

I am slightly a little crazy right now for this song….and this new artist!

Easton Crobin…Roll with it

He is actually going to be at the local fair coming up but I have a wedding:( I have been really bummed about this one…

Anyway, I love this song…

got my old guitar and some fishin poles
So baby fill that cooler full of something cold
Don't ask just pack and we'll hit the road runnin
honey what do you say

I got just enough money and just enough gas
So pick a place on the map we can get to fast
Where the white sandy beach meets water like glass
And if the tide carries us away

Baby we'll roll with it
Won't think about it too much
Baby let's just go with it
And get out of this ordinary everyday rut

And we get swept away by one of those perfect days
When the sun is sinking low at dusk
And wind up a little deeper in love
Baby lets roll with it

We get so caught up in catching up
Trying to pay the rent trying to make a buck
That don't leave much time for time for us
And aint life too short for that

So open up that bag of pig skins you bought
At the Exxon station the last time we stopped
And you kick back baby and dance in your socks
On the windshield to some radio rock

And we'll roll with it
Won't think about it too much
Baby let's just go with it
And get out of this ordinary everyday rut

And we get swept away by one of those perfect days
When the sun is sinking low at dusk
And wind up a little deeper in love
Baby lets roll with it

And it won't be no thing if it starts to rain
And we have to wait it out in the truck
We might wind up a little deeper in love
So baby lets roll with it

Me, Kaz, and the capital of country music.....

Last Thursday, Kaz and I went to Nashville, TN! I attended the Blissdom conference and Kaz went along to  have a little RNR. Here’s a little about our trip…..

Thursday we drove….and we drove…..and we drove! It was a 9 hour drive but it wasn’t bad…Well, I say it wasn’t bad but I didn’t drive:) We got to Nashville and the weather was awful! It’s rained the whole time we were there. We didn’t do a lot Thursday night. We went to eat at Outback and then just watched a movie in the room! Now Kaz and I have been eating pretty healthy, so to go to Outback and have a blooming onion we felt very guilty afterwards so Friday morning we got up at 6 and ran 3 miles. He really pushed me…by the end we were both running at a 9 minute mile pace…That only lasted about 2 minutes for me:(

Friday was the conference![I’m going to talk more about it tomorrow!] The conference was at the Opryland Hotel. Have you ever been? It’s amazing! It’s huge and honestly you could spend an entire day just doing stuff inside! When I first walked in I was amazed because they have a rain forest inside[well really 3 or 4]. Below are a few pictures from inside the hotel…

[these pictures were taken with my phone]
One thing, that I LOVE is meeting celebrities! While I was there, I got to meet George Duran. He actually cooked for all the ladies:) The meal was delicious! I’m going to try to find the recipe online and share it with you!
Friday night, was the Harry Connick Jr performance at the Fuse nightclub inside the Opryland Hotel. Let me just say…I HAVE the best husband in the world. The conference was all women BUT I saw a lot of their husbands with them, so I honestly thought they would come to the concert that night…Well, I was wrong. Kaz was 1 out of the 3 men…OUT OF 300 women....I felt so bad but he didn’t mind at all! We didn’t stay very long….I like Harry Connick Jr but he said somethings that made me very disappointed in him, so we left.
BUT we then went to see Dear John! Now, I loved this movie but then again I’ve never read the book so I don’t know how the full story goes. I also liked the fact that it was mostly filmed in Charleston because we recongnized a lot of places!

Saturday, was the conference again. I finished up around 5 and Kaz and I headed downtown Nashville to find a place to eat. The whole time we were there I kept telling Kaz we needed to go to the Wildhorse Saloon. I remember growing up and seeing it on CMT, and used to always want to be there line dancing. We got there right when they opened and it was really neat because they taught us how to country line dance. There were people there of all ages…85 years old right down to us! We only danced 1 time, but it was fun to watch the other people. The food was great and we got to listen to a up and comming band from Myrtle Beach-Brother Trouble…If you’re ever in Nashville you should definitely check it out! It was a lot of fun!
Hey Carissa-I wore my yellow sweater:)

Sunday, our trip was over:( BUT we had a great time together…and I can’t wait until we visit Nashville again!

A country girl at heart....

I’m a country girl….I’m from a town called Patrick, SC. Have you ever heard of it? Probably not…

It’s about 15 miles to the closest town[gas station, grocery store, etc]…although Patrick does have its own Fire department and Post Office….More about Patrick later….SO since I’m from the country, of course I’m crazy about country music! I LOVE It! Well, right now I can’t get enough of these 2 songs….I honestly DON’T know why I like them SO much, BUT it’s gotten SO bad that if I’m talking to Kaz on the phone and 1 of these songs comes on, I will get off the phone with him! Haha!
