Kaz and I are going to be holding a silent auction online in a few weeks to help raise money for the adoption. SO many people have been very generous and given us a lot of great things! I’m still looking for a few more items and wanted to get your input on some other things that might be nice to add!
Here’s what we have so far:
2 Clemson football tickets
2 framed prints
1 free haircut and style
8 gift baskets [for any occasion-Mexican & Italian cooking, baby, children, spa, etc]
1 gift certificate to a florist
2 hour consultation with a financial consultant
1 wood standing mirror
1 pillow case dress and hair bows
Jewelry
1 dozen tokens to the cupcake store
Help! What else can you think of that I should add!

That is a great list.
Do you know anyone who might offer a condo in the mountains or on the beach for a couple of nights? Those are always great gifts!
How about a photo shoot with you! You could also do a photography lesson!!! :-)
Do you have any friends that are consultants for Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Party Lite, etc? They might have some items that they would donate. It helps get their name out there as well so it is a win win for both.
I would be happy to donate some girls clothes! Just let me know when you need them and where to mail them if you are interested!

Hi Amy, Let me start of by saying that you are an amazing women and you inspire so me and so many other out there. You don't know who I am but I have been reading your blog for awhile now and sometime it makes me cry but most of the time I just want you to receive the joy that so many receive everyday. Children are such a wonderful gift and I hope you receive that gift soon.
I have done some research and have come up with some ways that could help you raise money to lower the cost of adoption fees.
Here they are:
1) You could ordered 500 dolls wearing t-shirts that said "I Support Adoption" and sell them at a neighborhood garage sale with the approval your homeowners' association.
* I found that someone made $12,000, which covered 1/3 of our adoption fees.
2)Everyone loves a raffle, and you can hold one without spending hardly any money at all. Ask a few local businesses to donate small gift certificates to your cause, then sell raffle tickets in front of their stores. This is a great way to get customers for your local businesses while still raising money for adoption.
3)A car wash
4)Spaghetti dinner at your church
5)Since you blog consider hosting an online raffle or auction.
I hope these help, I will continue to follow your blog and pray that you receive your gift of a child soon. Good luck and I wish you nothing but the best!!
WOW those are great!!! :-)
I read thru another comment and saw Pampered Chef, I totally agree! That would be a nice item to auction off..
And since I'm a total Starbucks NUT - I can't help but mention some Starbucks Gift Cards.. ;-)
GOOD LUCK GIRL!
