life....and a cookie cake!

WooHoo! My busy wedding season is O-V-E-R! I still have 12 more weddings this year, but that is spread out in 6 months compared to 15 weddings in 10 weeks! I’m very thankful for my job. I love my job! BUT I have ran myself ragged the last few weeks. We have a week of VBS at church and then we are going to the beach for a week! I can’t wait!
Life with Annie Rice has been so much fun lately. Her little personality is growing everyday. She’s becoming more independent, defiant, and chatting up a storm.

I love that she still lays like this sometimes...with that little butt stuck out!

Last week, I had the opportunity to do a children’s story time of my children's book at Burry Bookstore in my hometown. It was a lot of fun! Unfortunately, Annie Rice was sick last week and it literally lasted all week. At first she had a temp from Sunday-Wednesday of 102.6-100.6[that was her first fever in a year..], then she just got extremely tired, grumpy, and just wanted to sleep all the time. I was very proud of myself on Friday...I really needed to get in a good 4-5 hours of work, but she just did not feel good. She didn’t want to do anything but stay in my arms. So we watched Beauty and the Beast and she fell asleep. Instead of laying her down and working, I decided to let her sleep in my arms and didn’t work until that night when she went to bed. It felt good to make a decision I wanted, not based on work. I haven’t done that very well the last few weeks..Work has always come first the majority of the time. I enjoyed my time cuddling with this sweetie so much, and about an hour into it, I wanted a nap so I let her sleep in my bed while I napped too!

Yesterday, she broke out in a rash and scratched it so much, this morning is looked like she walked into a bob wire fence:(
Today, we took a few 2nd birthday pictures. Her birthday is July 6th, but I wanted to go ahead and take some pictures to use on her birthday party invitation. Since her LOVE right now is cookies, I knew I had to make a cookie cake of some sort. Pinterest helped me pick just the right cookie cake:) I honestly couldn’t have picked anything better...This morning when I made the cake, she was begging to eat it before we even left the house! So naturally, she dove right in for the pictures. I WILL be sharing more from our session later:)

It may not look very big, BUT that's 4 dozen cookies!

This is what my little cutie did on the ride home. She stayed like this for a good 15 minutes...

When I got home, I started looking through the pictures. These are a few I LOVE. The one of her crying WILL be framed. It’s precious. After we were finished, we told her to walk to us on the railroad tracks. She didn’t want to walk on those tracks not one bit, so she fell dramatically to the ground and gave us this face. It’s priceless!

How cute is this little ruffle bottom?
Tonight, while Kaz was folding clothes, he told me I needed to get my phone. Little priss put all of my clean underwear around her neck and walked proudly around the house wearing them! I love her to pieces!

18 months...

I can't believe Annie Rice is already 18 months old! She is growing up too fast! She has the sweetest personality! Here are a few of my favorite things she is doing right now: She tells everyone she sees HI! Most of the time she yells it over and over!, She blows everyone kisses like she's in a pageant! She blows a kiss and says "MA", She has started signing to me that she loves me. It melts my heart!, She loves picking a stick out of her prayer pail. Every night we sit on the rug in room and read the bible and pray, and every night she sits just as still as she can! , When she goes to sleep she looks like a frog! She always lays on her stomach and keeps working like a little frog to get in just the right position!, She loves saying "Whoa", She is pulling up on everything and taking little steps, She loves drinking fruit smoothies and eating vanilla wafers! She's absolutely perfect:) Well, almost:) Below are a few pictures I took in our back yard the other day! She loves reading books and LOVES her teddy bears! She sleeps with them every night and they even made it in my children's book:)
This was my favorite book growing up. Notice there are no covers! She loves it too! Good ole Robber Raccoon!

She LOVES Miley and watches her every move!

i'm obsessed....

I'm quite obsessed with a few things....where oh where to begin...

My favorite thing, first thing in the morning is Running...now with a jogging stroller:) This is my favorite time of the day for myself...When Annie Rice gets up, I change her diaper and clothes and we go straight to the jogging stroller. She loves going for a run also:) It's such a freeing time for me. I wish words could describe how I feel when I start our running! Freeing would be the best....and then half way through I'm thinking, why oh why do I run? HaHa!
Mini Moon Pies...They have replaced my 100 calorie packs. I love putting them in the microwave for 20 seconds! As Annie Rice would say, Yum Yum...or sometimes Num Num!
Little girls pjs! I just can't help but buy them! I love all kinds. I mean seriously, aren't they the cutest thing!

Groupon and Living Social....I look at the deals everyday in several different cities! I have been especially looking at the New York deals for our upcoming trip! I look for myself and gifts! Great, great websites!

Going to the movies....Just the thought gets me excited! I love going with people or by myself!

Chapstick...not just any kind...Burt's Bees. I always have to have chapstick. It's a must and I feel like a crazy person when I can't find any!

Fall and Christmas clothes for Annie Rice! Kaz just needs to go ahead and build another closet for her! HaHa! I bought this onesie the other day. It's perfect because she calls me mum instead of mom. I LOVE it! I want her to always call me mum...She's my little british girl:)

I asked Kaz if he could think of any other things I'm obsessed with it...His response, "my phone". I guess he's right on that one:)

i'm a dreamer...

I’ve been quite the dreamer lately...thinking about and pondering things that I would love....dreaming...some small dreams, others REALLY BIG dreams....I’ll let you in on a few of them...
I’ve been dreaming a lot lately about visiting a place I’ve always wanted to see...a place I have wanted to visit since I was a little girl...Maine, Prince Edward Island..that whole part of the country. The lighthouses have always sparked my attention...and then I fell in love with the idea after watching Anne Of Green Gables as a child. Kaz and I have started talking about this being our next family vacation...I of course, can’t help but begin planning and dreaming! I can picture it already...walking along those big cliffs overlooking the ocean, walking through big green fields holding hands with Annie beside us....Yes, I think I must begin planning now!
I’ve been dreaming of fall....county fairs, candy apples, orange everywhere, the cool brisk air, and pumpkin patch candles from Bath & Body Works....
I’ve been dreaming of waking up every morning and running along side the ocean, or the mountains on the West Coast....running somewhere everyday other than cookie cutter houses in 98 degree weather and 105 humidity at 8am in the morning....Don’t worry mom, we’re not moving BUT I can dream right?
I’ve been dreaming lately of something really BIG! Something so BIG only a few people know. Something the Lord has laid on my heart....so personal that it will probably takes months before I share....
I’ve been dreaming lately of being famous....wondering what it’s really like...knowing that’s its NOT ALL IT appears but still dreaming and wondering what my favorite actors/actresses are really like...
I’ve been dreaming lately of reading a book all day in a big wheat or grass field...having no cares in the world but finishing that book....BUT then I start thinking about all the bugs and that dream is over:) HaHa
I’m a dreamer...and I love that! Are you?
