5 things Tuesday[the nursery]….

Today, I’m going to tell you 5 things we are decorating the nursery with!
1. The colors-The furniture is black. Colors are orange, white, and lime green!
2. The crib-This is a picture of the crib we got. It’s black, was bought for Wal-Mart, and we love it!
3. The bedding-I had a really hard time with this. I really didn’t want to spend a ton of money on bedding. I’m not a fan of bed skirts..I think they look really cute but it’s just not me so I decided to go with just a bumper. I found the fabric I wanted and am having the bumper made. The fabric is orange and white polka dots-Here’s a picture although this is the fabric with another bedding set. Our bumper with be orange and white, with lime green ties!
4. The mobile- I found this mobile on Etsy and love it! Kaz and I are going to make it! I haven’t had a chance to look around for scrapbook paper[that’s what the pinwheels are], but I’m hoping to find some in either orange and lime green solids and polka dots!

5. A decoration-Pom Poms. I love these and they are going to add so much color in the room! The room is black furniture, white walls, and lots of black and white pictures! So when trying to decide some of the decorations I knew it had to be colorful to bring out that black and white so it’s not so dull! So I ordered some pom poms in bright orange, light orange, white, lime green, and a lite lime green!

Well, there’s a few things so far. I know you can’t really visualize what the nursery will look like but I promise to show pictures along the way! Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!

I love it!! Those colors are great! My husband & I have painted our extra bedroom Clemson orange, so when we decide to venture to baby-land, I'm hoping to keep the walls orange & do an orange/brown/red/lime/teal theme. I love that nowadays things aren't just pastels & frilly!

Oh I just love everything you've picked! Love the black furniture...black is a great color to go with, too, becuase you can buy other (used) pieces (if you wanted to) for the room and paint them! I've painted lots of (old) furniture black and its all turned out so great! I did our entire bedroom suite a few years ago & it looks so great! also love the bedding you picked, and the pom-poms and that mobile! Ahhhhh, love it all!!!! :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I am loving all the fun bright colors! My husband and I decorated our foster daughters room similar to what you are doing. We used the paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling. This post makes me want to post pics of our room too. I am loving your blog, and feel like we could be best friends lol. Thank you for sharing your heart and I am excited to read your journey as my husband and I travel along ours.
